Day 1: Arrive in Delhi:

Arrive in Delhi, and transfer to your hotel. Spend the day at leisure to recover from any jet lag you have. You can choose to go around some of the landmarks in Delhi, or, just spend some time in the Connaught Place area, the biggest attraction in the central Delhi. Enjoy your dinner at a nice restaurant in Delhi.

Day 2: Delhi – Guwahati – Jorhat, the Gateway to Assam Tea

Transfer to the airport in Delhi after having breakfast early in the morning. Take the flight to Guwahati, the capital of Assam. On arrival at the airport in Guwahati, drive to Jorhat, the heart of Assam’s tea estates. This is a drive of around 6 hours.

Check-in at a resort or a colonial-style tea bungalow. Enjoy a tea-tasting session of premium Assam tea varieties.

Day 3: Jorhat – Exploring Assam’s Tea Heritage

After breakfast in the morning, visit iconic tea estates and the Tocklai Tea Research Centre. Learn about tea cultivation, plucking, and processing. In the afternoon, tour a tribal village to understand the role of local communities in tea production.

Enjoy a traditional Assamese dance and dinner featuring local delicacies in the evening.

Day 4: Transfer to Darjeeling – The Queen of Hills

Check out after breakfast and drive to Guwahati airport. Catch the flight to Bagdogra. On arrival, drive to Darjeeling, a drive of around 2.5 hours. Check into a nice resort or a tea estate.

At leisure for rest of the day. Enjoy a nice dinner. Overnight in Darjeeling.

Day 5: The Charm of Darjeeling’s Tea Gardens

If you are up for it, get up very early in the morning and go to Tiger Hill to enjoy breathtaking views of sunrise in the backdrop of the ever beautiful Himalayan peaks. Visit the Batasia Loop and savor views of Kanchenjunga afterwards. Return to the resort and enjoy a nice breakfast.

Later, in the day, go and visit a premium tea estate.  Witness the orthodox tea-making process. See how green tea and white tea are made by processing tea leaves in different ways. You can buy some wonderful premium tea varieties.

Explore the local market for Darjeeling teas and Tibetan crafts. And, towards evening, stroll through the Darjeeling Mall Road. Enjoy a lovely dinner at a local restaurant. You can try some local dishes as well in the dinner.

Day 6: Bagdogra – Coimbatore:

Check out from the resort in Darjeeling after breakfast and sipping the famous Darjeeling tea one more time. Drive to Bagdogra to catch the flight to Coimbatore. You reach Coimbatore in the evening. Transfer to a hotel in Coimbatore for an overnight stay before proceeding to Ooty, the tea paradise of South India.

Day7: Coimbatore – Ooty, tea Paradise of South India

Get up leisurely in the morning, and have a nice sumptuous breakfast. Check out from the hotel, and drive to Ooty, the tea paradise of South India. This is a drive of around 3 hours.

Check-in at a tea estate resort on arrival in Ooty. Enjoy a Nilgiri tea-tasting session. Have a nice dinner at your resort or at a nice restaurant in Ooty.

Day 8: Ooty: Discovering Nilgiri’s Tea Legacy

After breakfast in the morning, go out to take a heritage toy train ride from Ooty to Coonoor. This heritage train has existed in Ooty ever since the British built it in 1908. Later, go on to explore tea gardens in Coonoor, and visit the Tea Museum. Attend a tea-blending workshop.

Enjoy some lovely local cuisines. Explore the local market and temples, if you want.

Day 9: Ooty – Coorg, the Land of Coffee & Spices

After breakfast in the morning, check out and drive to Coorg, a pride of Karnataka often recognized as the land of coffee and spices. This is a drive of 6 hours. Check into a nice resort, hopefully a coffee plantation resort.

Relax for rest of the day with a cup of Coorg Coffee. Enjoy the traditional dishes from Coorg in dinner.

Day 10: Coorg: Enjoy the Spice Culture

Trek through the lush coffee estate in the morning. Enjoy your breakfast.

Go out to visit some of the famous landmarks of Coorg. This includes Dubare Elephant Camp, and Kushalnagar monastery visit. You also have the option to enjoy some river rafting.

Later, in the afternoon, enjoy a spice-inspired culinary workshop. This includes a tour of the spice gardens. Enjoy your lovely dinner.

Day 11: Coorg – Wayanad, place of Spices & Scenic Beauty

Check out from Coorg after a decent breakfast in the resort. Proceed to Wayanad, place of spices and scenic beauty. This is a drive of around 3 hours from Coorg. Check into a nice eco-friendly resort surrounded by spice gardens.

Have lunch at the resort, and venture out to explore the spices grown in Wayanad region. Explore plantations growing black pepper, cardamom, nutmeg, ginger, and vanilla. Learn about the history, cultivation methods, and processing of these spices. Savor spiced beverages like cardamom tea or pepper-infused drinks.

Take a short drive to Pookode Lake, surrounded by spice-laden hills. Enjoy a serene boat ride and shop for handmade spice-based products at the nearby stalls.

Day 12: Wayanad: Cultural and Spice Trail

Later, discover ancient petroglyphs at Eddakal Caves, and enjoy panoramic views of spice-covered hills.

Have a nice lunch consisting of Kerala cuisines with a focus on dishes highlighting cinnamon, nutmeg, and other spices.

Day 13: Wayanad – Kochi: 

Check out from the resort and drive to Kochi, one of the most important cities of Kerala. This is a drive of around 7 hours. Check into a hotel on arrival in Kochi. Rest of the day at leisure. Enjoy you dinner at your hotel.

Day 14: Kochi – Thekkady:

Check out in the morning and head off to Thekkady. This is a drive of slightly more than 4 hours. Check into a resort, hopefully a spice plantation resort. Take a guided tour of spice plantations growing cardamom, pepper, clove, and nutmeg. Go and attend a cooking demonstration featuring Kerala spices.

Later, if time permits, you can opt to shop at local spice markets.

Overnight in Thekkady.

Day 15: Thekkady – Munnar, Kerala’s Tea Capital 

Go for a boat safari in Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in the morning after an early breakfast. Return, enjoy your breakfast and check out from the resort. Proceed to Munnar, tea capital of Kerala. This scenic drive is of around 3 hours.

Check into a hilltop resort with amazing views on arrival in Munnar. After your lunch, go on to visit the Kolukkumalai Tea Estate, one of the highest tea plantations in the world. Enjoy a scenic tea plantation walk.

Day 16: Munnar – Coimbatore – Onward Destination
