Detailed Tour Program:
Day 1: Arrival in Kolkata with tour packages from Delhi, Mumbai, and rest of the world
Check in a hotel in Kolkata on arrival at Kolkata Airport. Refresh yourself. You can spend rest of the day at leisure. Or else, if time permits, go out for some sightseeing in Kolkata. Explore landmarks like the Indian Museum, Victoria Memorial, and Howrah Bridge.
You can have an evening briefing session about the tour and wildlife destinations you are going to explore on the tour. Enjoy your dinner.
Overnight in Kolkata.
Day 2: Kolkata – Sundarbans National Park (3-4 hours)
Check out early in the morning and drive to Godkhali, the gateway to the Sundarbans. Have a refreshing light breakfast in your vehicle on the way to Godkhali. Take a boat at Godkhlai and go for a cruise to the Sundarbans National Park.
Check into a jungle eco-resort. In the afternoon go for a boat safari. Enjoy the nature, the mangrove forests. Sundarbans is known for a variety of birds. If lucky, you can spot Bengal tigers, crocodiles, and dolphins.
Overnight at Sundarbans resort.
Day 3: Sundarbans National Park
Have a full-day boat safari exploring creeks, canals, and dense mangroves. Stop at Sajnekhali Interpretation Centre to learn about the Sundarbans ecosystem. Visit Dobanki Watchtower and Sudhanyakhali Watchtower for higher chances of spotting tigers.
Village visit to learn about the traditional lifestyle and local culture.
Highlights: Bengal tiger tracking, rare birds like the masked finfoot, Ganges river dolphin.
Overnight in Sundarbans.
Day 4: Sundarbans – Kolkata – Guwahati – Kaziranga National Park
Return to Kolkata by boat and road. Take a flight from Kolkata to Guwahati. On arrival, drive directly to Kaziranga National Park, a drive of around 4 hours. Check in at a nice wildlife resort in Kaziranga.
Overnight in Kaziranga.
Day 5: Kaziranga National Park – Western Range Safari
Get up very early in the morning and go for elephant safari in the Western Range of Kaziranga, the forest famous for the Indian one-horned rhinoceros. Return after the safari and relish a delicious breakfast.
Go for an afternoon jeep safari in the Central Range for more wildlife sightings like tigers, wild water buffalo, swamp deer, and many bird species. You will get to see a number of rhinos on this safari as well. Also keep an eye on hornbills. Sighting of elephants amidst the tall grasses are also possible.
Overnight at the resort in Kaziranga National Park.
Day 6: Kaziranga National Park – Eastern Range Safari
Go for an early morning jeep safari in the Eastern Range, renowned for its birdwatching opportunities. Enjoy the rich variety of bird species, including pelicans, fish eagles, and great hornbills. In the afternoon, go and visit nearby tea estates to learn about Assam’s tea culture (optional).
Overnight in Kaziranga.
Day 7: Kaziranga – Manas National Park (Approx. 7 hours)
Enjoy a nice breakfast before checking out from the resort in Kaziranga. Drive from Kaziranga to Manas National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is a drive of nearly 7 hours.
Check-in at a beautiful forest resort and relax. You will have an evening orientation session about Manas National Park’s conservation and its unique flora and fauna.
Enjoy your dinner. Overnight in Manas National Park.
Day 8: Manas National Park – Wildlife Safari
Go for a morning jeep safari to explore the rich biodiversity, including the Bengal tiger, golden langur, Indian elephant, and pygmy hog. Retrun from the safari and enjoy your lunch at the wildlife lodge.
Take an afternoon safari for additional wildlife sightings. Enjoy the evening cultural program performed by local Bodo tribes (subject to availability).
Overnight at the forest lodge in Manas National Park.
Day 9: Manas to Gorumara National Park
Enjoy an early breakfast at the lodge in Manas. Afterwards, head off to Gorumara National Park in West Bengal. This is a drive of around 6 hours. On arrival in Gorumara, check-in at a resort. Enjoy your lunch at the resort.
Go for an afternoon safari in Gorumara, a forest known for Indian rhinoceros, elephants, and leopards.
Enjoy a nice dinner at the resort. Overnight in Gorumara.
Day 10: Gorumara National Park Safari & Local Excursion
Go on a morning safari for bird watching and wildlife spotting at Gorumara. Return to the resort and enjoy your breakfast.
Spend some leisure time at the resort. After lunch, visit the nearby Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary or Chilapata Forest. On return, relax by the campfire at the resort. Enjoy your snacks and dinner.
Overnight in Gorumara.
Day 11: Gorumara to Bagdogra Airport – Bhubaneswar
After breakfast, leave for Bagdogra Airport in Siliguri. This is around two hours drive. Take your flight to Bhubaneswar. The flight usually has a stopover in Kolkata. On arrival in Bhubaneswar, check into a hotel.
Enjoy your dinner at a city restaurant or in the hotel itself. Overnight in Bhubaneswar.
Day 12: Bhubaneswar sightseeing – Bhitarkanika National Park
After breakfast in the morning, check out from the hotel. Drive past some of the landmarks in Bhubaneswar. If interested, you can pay a visit to Lingaraj Temple, a 11th Century Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Later, if you want, you can have lunch somewhere in the city. Immediately afterwards, proceed towards Bhitarkanika National Park, a drive of around 3.5 hours.
Check in at a forest lodge in Bhitarkanika. Relax for the evening. You can get a briefing on Bhitarkanika and its ecosystem.

Day 13: Bhitarkanika National Park
After an early breakfast in the morning set out for a boat safari in the creeks of Bhitarkanika Mangroves. The Sanctuary and the National Park are famous for saltwater crocodiles, and other reptile varieties. Monitor Lizard, snake varieties, spotted deer, wild pigs and monkeys are found in the forest. It is also home to a wide variety of birds – some migratory and many native varieties.
Return to the forest lodge. Refresh yourself. Enjoy your lunch. And, spend some leisure time.
Towards late in the afternoon go and spend time in the nearby villages. You can also enjoy a beautiful sunset in the river system in a country boat.

Day 14: Bhitarkanika – Puri
Check out from the resort after breakfast. Head off to Puri, a place highly revered by the Hindus. Puri is at a drive of around 5 hours from Bhitarkanika. Check into a hotel on arrival in Puri.
Spend leisure time on the beach in Puri. Enjoy some nice time. Indulge in some shopping, or relish some nice sea food. Have a walk around the Jagannath temple. Non-Hindus are not allowed in this famous 12th Century Jagannath Temple.

Day 15: Puri – Konark – Bhubaneswar – Departure
Have a nice breakfast in the morning and check out from the hotel. Drive to Konark, a place at an hour drive from Puri. Take a sightseeing of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Konark Sun Temple. Sip some coconut water. Afterwards, head off to Bhubaneswar.
Take a sightseeing tour of Dhauli, a historic site located just on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar. Have a look at Hathigumpha Inscription of the famous ruler Ashoka. This dates back to some 3rd Century BCE.
Enjoy lunch at a nice restaurant. Head off to the airport after that. Catch your flight to Delhi or Mumbai from where you can take onward flight to your desired location.
