Sanjay Van
Enjoy lunch at a nearby nice restaurant. Take a post-lunch walk in the Sanjay Van, a lush green forest in Delhi, spread over approximately 783 acres near Mehrauli. It is a part of the Delhi Ridge, making it a vital ecological zone. The forest is a home to a variety of flora and fauna, including nilgai (blue bulls), jackals, peacocks, and several bird species like barbets, owls, and woodpeckers. It is quite popular among walkers, joggers, and cyclists, with well-defined paths and scenic viewpoints. It also contains ruins of old monuments from the Delhi Sultanate era, including remnants of Qila Rai Pithora, the first city of Delhi. Some Sufi tombs and a temple can also be seen in the forest.
Majnu ka Tilla
Towards evening, go on to explore Majnu Ka Tilla and the adjoining Tibetan Colony. You can shop for handicrafts here and sip authentic butter tea. Enjoy some snacks and tea or coffee at one of the restaurants. You can also choose to have a delicious dinner at a nice restaurant.
Return to the hotel, and retire to your room for an overnight rest.
Day 2: Royal Ruins & Nature Escapes
Tughlaqabad Fort
Start the morning after breakfast at your hotel with a tour of Tughlaqabad Fort. Explore the majestic ruins of this forgotten fort, an architectural marvel with vast landscapes. This is an important historical site built by Ghiyasuddin Tughlaq, the founder of the Tughlaq dynasty, in 1321. Originally meant to be the third city of Delhi, the site was abandoned soon after due to a curse by the Sufi saint Nizamuddin Auliya.
Bijay Mandal

Mirza Muzaffar Husain Tomb, Akbar’s son-in-law, Sundar Mahal
Later, go on to explore the almost forgotten Bijay Mandal. Climb up this hidden fort and enjoy panoramic city views. This monument came up during the reign of Alauddin Khalji (1296–1316). It was a part of Khalji’s palace complex and later other rulers used it as well. Bijay Mandal is also often linked to Jahanpanah, the fortified city built by Muhammad bin Tughlaq (1325–1351). It provides insights into medieval Indo-Islamic architecture and Delhi’s historical landscape.
Sundar Nursery
Enjoy lunch at a nice restaurant. Afterwards, go on to explore Sundar Nursery. a 16th-century heritage park near Humayun’s Tomb. Originally a Mughal-era garden, it fell into ruins over the years. It has now been beautifully restored into a 300-acre biodiversity park, blending history, nature, and sustainability. Sundar Nursery houses over 15 Mughal-era monuments, including six UNESCO World Heritage structures. It has
