The Walk will end at the Viceregal Lodge, the residence of the Viceroys during the British Period. In the present days Indian Institute of Advanced Studies is located in this palatial building.

Walking in the hills need some stamina as well, even though there will be periods of rests for the guests. The walk involves connecting to history and old charms of Shimla. Only those with interest in exploring cultural history and heritages would like the Walk. You should also avoid bringing small kids.What to Wear and Carry: Shimla remains cool throughout the year. It is better to cover yourself. If it is winters it is advisable to go for heavy woolens. If it is summer time it is advisable to go for light woolen. It is better to avoid wearing shorts. Please wear comfortable walking shoes or sandals. It is also advisable to have a pair of sunglasses. If it is monsoon time or overcast, it is a must to carry raincoat or an umbrella.
